THE MAD, MAD, WORLD OF
ROBERT MUGABE

by David Icke

If it were not so tragic for black and white alike, the events in Zimbabwe under the Illuminati-imposed, Robert Mugabe, would be almost comic.

The 76-year-old "democratic" dictator was manipulated into power by Bilderberg Group chairman, Lord Carrington, the British Foreign Secretary, in 1980. (Proof: Long article: The real background to Zimbabwe and who is behind it) Since then, Mugabe has devastated an abundant land.

Even Edgar Tekere, a founder member of Mugabe's ruling Zimbabwe African National Union - Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF), who fought a "liberation" war to secure power, has given up trying to defend his leader:

"I am a psychologist" he said "and I have come to the conclusion that the crises are the result of one pivotal crisis - that our head of state is of doubtful sanity."

This is Zimbabwe under Mugabe:

* Five hour queues for fuel because the country has little foreign currency.

People wait for buses which never arrive because of the fuel crisis and incompetence.

Shelves in shops are empty while food growing land taken from the white farmers and given to Mugabe's friends lies unused and unproductive. Harare's Japanese restaurant offers only one dish - stir fried ostrich.

Once first class roads now crumble with potholes, except for one into the middle of nowhere - Mugabe's birthplace.

More than half the population are unemployed and inflation runs at 70 per cent.

* Yet Mugabe has sent Zimbawean troops into the war in the Congo, a thousand miles away, to defend his personal financial and mineral holdings there. This is costing this bankrupt country 800,000 pounds sterling a DAY.

Tourists were left stranded at Victoria Falls airport when Mugabe commandeered one of the state airline's five planes so his wife could go shopping.

In the face of all this - and much, much, more - the state-owned newspaper, The Herald, congratulates the state for the "incredibly efficient" operation of the telephones, police, and banks. And Mugabe's friend and ally, Tony O'Reilly, the Irish friend of Henry Kissinger and owner of South Africa's major newspaper group, refuses to criticise his mate.

Mugabe is now trying to blame the white population for the country's ills and using the usual route of the dictator, dividing the people against each other. In this case, black against white. He is also using the military to intimidate the opposition and has presented "parliament" with legislation to intercept e-mails (not that he or anyone else needs a law to do so), and many opponents have claimed their phones are bugged. Some have narrowly survived assassination attempts.

Mugabe's Central Intelligence Agency have been touring the country warning that if ZANU-PF does not win the next elections, Zimbabwe will be plunged into war.

As Morgan Tsvangirai, the head of the new Movement for Democratic Change said: "Mugabe is man in a total frenzy. Some of his actions are suicidal."
